Donald Ramlow is the co-founder/producer of All Ears Theatre. Don is a Kalamazoo native who has been involved with cultural activities all his life. He is influenced greatly by his grandparents, Donald Barringer, who traveled throughout the U.S. and Canada as "Don Barringer and his Wolverines," and Helen Mundy Barringer, who was briefly a silent film actress and toured with theatrical troupes such as "The George White Scandals."

Don started performing in choral groups and musical theatre at Vicksburg Junior and Senior High School, and during his senior year was involved with six different vocal groups, from the varsity choir to a rock and roll band. Don also performed theatre at Kalamazoo Valley Community College during the late 1960s.

Don's lifelong interest in reading and the use of one's imagination led to his discovery of radio theatre during the 1970s. In 1981, he began meeting professionals in radio theatre, eventually gaining the opportunity to direct radio theatre "for fun" around the country. During the past 25 years he has had the privilege of meeting and working with hundreds of people in the world of film, stage, television and radio. Some of Don's highlights were working with Academy Award-winning actress Kim Hunter at the Memphis Film Festival, in addition to working on the East Coast with Parley Baer (Mayor Stoner of “The Andy Griffith Show”), Willard Waterman (“The Great Gildersleeve”), Ezra Stone (“Henry Aldrich”) and John Archer (“The Shadow”).

Seven years ago, a chance conversation with Rick Hughey of the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation resulted in the co-founding of the Kalamazoo-based All Ears Theatre radio group.
